MORE Board of Directors elections are scheduled for December 18 – 30, 2022.

Nominations are open from November 20th - December 16, 2022.

Open this cycle are Ride Program Director,  Communications/Marketing Director, Secretary, Activities Director and Membership Director.

Position Descriptions

Communications/Marketing Director
The Communications/Marketing Director is a MORE Board of Directors volunteer position responsible for effective communication of MORE activities, ongoing work efforts and accomplishments, in addition to trail signage and trail user education.  The Communications/Marketing Director is responsible for producing the MORE Annual Report and quarterly Trailhead Newsletter, in addition to working with MORE’s Executive Director to manage and populate announcements on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and the MORE Website.  The Communications/Marketing Director is responsible for updating, sharing, promoting and distributing trail use education, and trail use signage in coordination with the Trail Advocacy Directors and BOD.  Marketing duties for this position include promoting and enhancing the MORE Store on the MORE webpage and promoting MORE in a variety of platforms and communities.  The Communications/Marketing Director is expected to attend and participate in MORE BOD meetings on a regular basis and provide monthly updates on activities completed.   

Ride Program Director
The Ride Program Director is a new MORE Board of Directors volunteer position responsible for ensuring that MORE’s ride program is aligned with MORE’s strategic goals.  The Ride Program Director is responsible for managing MORE’s ride program that provides MORE trail rides and clinics over a wide geographical area and to a diverse riding community.  The Ride Program Director will serve as the point of contact for individual ride leaders and work toward keeping rides fun, safe, and serving a diverse ride community, including kids rides, family rides, beginner rides and clinics, and intermediate/advanced ride groups.  The ride coordinator is expected to support current ride leaders, recruit and train new ride leaders, help with and plan events, and report feedback to the board.  The Ride Program Director will work toward providing information to all ride leaders to ensure that ride leaders are following acceptable safety standards and obtaining signed liability waivers for all ride participants.  As needed the Ride Program Director will train and assist ride leaders in planning and posting rides on the MORE calendar, Meetup, etc.  The Ride Program Director will work with MORE’s Activities Director to manage, solicit, and create Ride Leader Awards and incentives for developing MORE’s Ride Program and assist with social media platforms to promote and advertise rides and ride programs.   The Ride Program Director is expected to attend and participate in MORE BOD meetings on a regular basis and provide monthly updates on activities completed.   

Secretary
Secretary is a MORE Board of Directors volunteer position primarily responsible for administrative functions related to the Board of Directors. This includes organizing and running Board of Directors meetings, preparing and publishing meeting minutes, and submitting annual regulatory filings. The Secretary is expected to efficiently prepare Board of Directors meeting agendas and activity report through monthly outreach to the Board of Directors. The Secretary is responsible for running all Board of Directors meetings, including adherence to the agenda and timely completion of the meeting within the scheduled two hours. The Secretary is also expected to take detailed notes during each Board of Directors Meeting as necessary to prepare accurate meeting minutes, including all votes and motions. Once complete, the Secretary is expected to finalize and publish the meeting minutes on MORE’s website for public access. The Secretary is also expected to track and submit annual regulatory filings related to MORE’s corporate governance. The Secretary may also serve additional volunteer functions for MORE to support both the Board of Directors and wider organization depending on the individual skill set of the Secretary. 

Activities Director
The Activities Director is a MORE Board of Directors position responsible for coordinating MORE’s social events including the Winter Membership Meeting, Spring Fling, Summer Picnic, Fall Camping Trip, and MoCo Epic. Several of these activities have established teams in place to organize and conduct the events. The Activities Director ensures teams have adequate funding, plans, and resources to hold successful events.  This position can also develop new opportunities for MORE, plan diverse and inclusive events, and coordinate volunteers. As a Board Member one should attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings and provide reports on monthly activities.

Membership Director 
Responsible for and not limited to managing membership activities including communicating with IMBA on membership drives, renewals, joins and resolving any issues which may occur. (IMBA processes membership payments, database and provides limited communications for MORE.)  MORE’s membership director manages all aspects of chapter membership-related communications.  This includes welcome emails for joins and renewals and notification emails to members who are due to renew, have lapsed or expired memberships. MORE’s membership director works closely with MORE’s board of directors to grow membership, reach and advocacy.  The Membership Director reports monthly on membership statistics and trends to the Board of Directors.
